Provider Biography

Dr. Oliver Chin graduated magna cum laude in Cell Biology and Neuroscience and Psychology from Rutgers University. He earned his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and was inducted into the honor society of Alpha Omega Alpha for his academic accomplishments. After medical school, he completed his Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California.

Recognized for his academic accomplishments since college, Dr. Chin was the recipient of Academic Excellence Awards and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society of New Jersey. Throughout medical school, he scored the top of his class in multiple subjects including anatomy, cell biology, and embryology, and received multiple scholarships. During residency, he was awarded UC Davis Neurological Surgery intern of the year and has received several awards for the highest in-service score.

Passionate about teaching and research, Dr. Chin is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the international AO Alliance – Craniomaxillofacial Surgery. He also participated as an active member of the UC Davis School of Medicine admissions screening committee and has multiple first-author peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, as well as multiple posters and oral presentations at national meetings. 
 
Dr. Chin enjoys evaluating and treating the entire breadth of pediatric and adult Ear, Nose, and Throat diseases. Moreover, he has a special interest in hearing and balance disorders, chronic ear disease, rhinology, salivary gland disease, head and neck cancer, and craniomaxillofacial trauma. 

Emphasizing comprehensive medical and surgical care to all patients with otolaryngologic complaints, he strives to improve patient care by exploring all available treatment options and staying up to date with cutting-edge technology, and improving treatment modalities.

Dr. Chin approaches his patients as if they were his own family. In his free time, he enjoys playing beach volleyball, rock climbing, and snowboarding. He is a native English speaker and speaks Mandarin Chinese fluently.
